New Dawn Counselling Centre is a Community Interest Company that provides accessible counselling to the whole community.

Run by a team of professionally qualified counsellors, student counsellors and volunteer receptionists, the centre offers a confidential and accepting environment where people can feel safe and receive the support they need.
​
Our diverse team of counsellors offer a breadth of experience and a variety of different approaches to counselling which means our experienced assessors will match you with someone who has the relevant experience to support you with your particular difficulties or issues. All our counsellors have undertaken recognised training. They are also members of professional organisations and adhere to strict ethical codes that ensure they are working safely and with up-to-date knowledge and information.

The centre is located on the High Street in the busy university town of Beeston near Nottingham. With excellent transport links and plentiful parking nearby. Our building is also fully accessible for people with mobility needs or disabilities.

Our Foundations
CIC
New Dawn, originally ‘Rachamin’ was founded in 2002 by a group of Christians who perceived a need for affordable, accessible counselling in the community. We have a bursary fund for this cause.

We have evolved and grown over the years and now comprise a diverse team of counsellors, working together. Still holding to a Christian ethos we share core values of caring, giving and listening to people in need.
The Centre welcomes clients from all backgrounds regardless of their faith, ethnicity and sexual orientation. It prides itself on being a warm, welcoming and safe environment where people are accepted as they are.

New Dawn is a Community Interest Company (CIC).
​
The business of New Dawn is overseen by a board of directors who are all qualified counsellors.
The chair and vice chair of the board change on an annual basis and all counsellors can put themselves forward for election onto the Board.
The whole team of counsellors, students and volunteers give their time freely to take on various roles and attend regular meetings that ensure the smooth day to day running of New Dawn Counselling Centre.

New Dawn can receive donations towards its running costs or the Bursary fund that is used to help clients on a low income pay for counselling. Even £10 could make a difference -please contact us to arrange any donations.
